YoungHoon Kim, a South Korean scholar with a reported IQ of 276, the highest recorded in the world, made headlines with his June 18, 2025, after endorsing Jesus Christ on his X.

OpporTechies gathered from his official X account.

He said: “As the world’s highest IQ record holder, I believe that Jesus Christ is God, the way and the truth and the life.” This statement, garnering over 14 million views, sparked global discussion due to Kim’s intellectual stature and his bold integration of science and faith. But why did Kim, a cognitive scientist, publicly endorse Jesus Christ?

Kim’s endorsement is rooted in his belief that science and spirituality are complementary. He draws on quantum physics, citing phenomena like entanglement and the observer effect, to argue that the universe’s interconnectedness suggests a purposeful intelligent design, aligning with Christian concepts of God. Kim posits that consciousness may be quantum information, persisting beyond death, which supports his belief in an afterlife and a divine purpose embodied by Jesus Christ. His statement echoes John 14:6, emphasizing Christ as the ultimate truth, resonating with his pursuit of universal truths through reason.

His work with the United Sigma Intelligence Association and NeuroStory reflects a commitment to exploring human potential, which he sees as intertwined with divine purpose.

OpporTechies gathered that Kim’s public declaration, amplified by conservative voices like Charlie Kirk, challenges the notion that high intelligence and religious faith are incompatible, suggesting instead that Christ’s teachings offer moral and metaphysical clarity that complements scientific inquiry.
