CaliExpress is a new fast-food chain that uses artificial intelligence and robotics to create customized burgers for customers. It is the world’s first fully autonomous restaurant, where both ordering and cooking processes are automated.
Some of the features of CaliExpress are:
– It uses a grill robot that grinds high-quality wagyu beef in real-time after the order is placed, resulting in a burger patty that melts in the mouth.
– It uses Flippy, the world’s first AI-powered robotic fry station, that serves up crispy, hot fries made from top-grade potatoes.

– It uses PopID, a technology that simplifies ordering and payments using biometrics. Customers can check in with their PopID accounts on self-ordering kiosks to get personalized order recommendations and make easy and fast payments.
– It has a simple menu, comprising burgers, cheeseburgers, and french fries.- It offers premium wagyu blend burgers at price points competitive with other premium burgers using standard meat.
– It creates a safer, easier, and friendlier kitchen for employees, who can run the restaurant with a much smaller crew and less stress.
Opportechies also learnt that the AI system analyzes the customer’s preferences, dietary restrictions, and mood to create a unique burger recipe that is cooked by a robot chef1.
CaliExpress is located in Pasadena, California, and is expected to open soon.
